Head Tracking with Wiimotes: Update

Well, the first round of experiments for the wii project is complete, the features are frozen, two papers are in the works, and everything should be wrapped up by the end of May. The big news was being selected for Best Undergraduate Project in CS under the title “Using the Wii Remote to Track Dance Motion in 3D TeleImmersive Spaces”, along with another project called “Highly Scalable Parallel Sorting”. Me and my research partner Chan Hong Min prepared a poster and gave a presentation, which was fun. Part of the presentation was a video which shows some of what the experiments looked like. Once the papers are done, I’ll flesh out some of the ideas from the last post.
